Solar Panel Controller

This project involves the design of a solar charge controller board capable of charging both Li-ion and LiFePO4 batteries using MPPT algorithms for maximum efficiency. in addition to solar input, the battery can be charged via an adapter or AC power. The board provides four 12V outputs to power 15W lamps and two USB ports—one standard and one fast charge.

Battery Management Systems

This project involves the design of a Battery Management System (BMS) for LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. The BMS ensures protection against over-discharge, overcharge, overcurrent, and short circuits, while also balancing the cells to maintain battery health and longevity. It is suitable for applications such as electric motorcycle batteries and elevator power systems.

E-Bike Controller (ECU)

This project details the development of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for an electric bicycle, designed to deliver precise motor control and an intuitive user experience. The ECU utilizes Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for smooth and efficient motor operation, enabling fast response at startup and stable performance during ride conditions. It features an LCD interface that provides real-time system feedback and control access to the rider. Notable functionalities include ghost pedaling detection to avoid unintended motor activation and a slow start algorithm for controlled acceleration. Built around an STM32 microcontroller, the system has been tested successfully and demonstrates both responsive control and reliable performance in practical scenarios.
